My name is Azira (A-zee-ra), and I'm a Malay from Malaysia, and since I'm a Muslim my name might have a high relevency towards Arabic. I haven't a clue what my name means, and the closest I can get to my name is Azura,Azaria and Ashera which isn't much help.

Can anyone help me by telling me what does it means?

Was looking up this name for a character in a book I'm writing. For what I've gathered in Arabic it means "Raising Star". Very pretty

Not sure if you already got this answer but your name {AZIRA} is said to mean "A Rising Star"
It is Arabic, I believe.

I would guess it's an Arabic version of Asherah.
