What more can you tell me about the name Rachel besides what's on this database? I've tried doing internet searches, but there's too much information on the web, and I haven't been able to fine-tune my searches enough to get any really useful information.
Also, one site (http://www.geocities.com/edgarbook/names/r/rachel.html) seems to be saying that Rachael is the Hebrew form; that's not right, is it?
I'm not sure exactly what information I'm looking for, though. Maybe, what element of the name acutally means 'ewe'? Are there any other meanings for it? Or... I'll take any information you can give me.

NO, there aren't any other meaning's for it.
The entire name "Rachel" means ewe. There is no single part that actually means ewe. Its just like the name Violet. It just means Violet, and no one part of it means violet, the entire thing as a whole does. Do you understand what I am saying?
The ending "ael" (as in Michael, Raphael) means God, so I think the website got confused with that. They probably thought, since it had that ending, it was Hebrew. The name it self is Hebrew.
If you want, I can get some famous bearers of the name.
But, thats pretty much it about Rachel. It just means Ewe in Hebrew.
