Mirasol.I just came across this name on a Peruvian girl. Obviously Spanish in origin. Can someone clarify the meaning for me? Thanks.

It looks like a literal combination of of Spanish mira, "she looks at/watches", and sol, "sun", so that the name would mean "She looks at/watches the sun". Like egyptianpanda said, it was probably inspired by Marisol.

Well the name certainly reminds me of Marisol. My guess is that it's a combination of 2 names, one being Sol.
