I believe Sarah Palin's Bristol was named after Bristol Bay in Alaska, where her family has a house.

Otherwise, I've never seen it before.

Sofia is corect. Bristol was named for a city in Alaska. I believe Sarah Palin's daughter Willow was also named for an Alaskan city.
