Know of any names meaning...
I am looking for a name meaning banana. I know this is strange but just wondered if anyone knows of any
I have come up with:
) Banana is actually a real name (in Japan) for a girl. But doesnt give the meaning.
2) Chiquita ch(i)-qui-ta (Spanish name) and its meaning is "little one". Associated by most people with the Chiquita banana.
3) Kela (pronounced kayla or geela) also means banana
Anymore suggestions would be welcome.
Oh and dont worry Im not going to name a child banana ;)

Chiquita is not a name, it's a cutesy nickname like saying "kiddie". It's just a word meaning "little child".
Banana means "banana" in Japan. Not a real name.
There is a Japanese author called Banana Yoshimoto, but it's just a pseudonym; I can't remember her real name, but it's not Banana. :)
It's Mahoko
Otherwise, Banana's not used as a name in Japan.
Basho, means banana-tree, and is the name of a famous 17thc. Japanese poet (I think it's also a pseud., though).
Chiquita is not a first name, it's a diminutive for chica= child in Spanish
