:) . How about his "da man" tattoo "Thug Life" -- which ultimately shoulda read Thud! Life...
The real question is: why is rap a "musical" category at the Grammies at all? Are they simply perpetuating the American tradition that we must pander to the lowest common denominator? And I'm talkin' rap, not race. To give Eminem anything but the BOOT was a total disgrace.
(Hey! That rhymes! Now if I could just throw sumthin in about wastin cops and beatin mah bitch...)

MC Daividh is in da house!
Youre being a wee bit harsh, old bean. Eminem is making a career out of pretending to be a jerk, but and not *all* rap is excremental. I really enjoyed stuff like "Fight the Power" by Public Enemy a decade or so ago...the guys meant business. Even some *white rap* was kinda cool (remember "Wordy Rapinghood" by the Tom Tom Club ages ago?).
At least you guys are not subjected to french rap on US TV...its gotta be the cheesiest variery of all!

"Fight the Power" was good, as you say. But much dross separates the gold in the rap game. Too much, I'm afraid, to give me any patience for it. (However, I must admit to being a person who feeds continuing mantras to his kids like "Duran Duran was underappreciated". And I watch "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" for the soundtrack.)
You get French rap?! Public Radio here did a bit on French rap about 2 years ago and I admit I had to turn it off before the segment was over. You poor devils!
