There is a girls name "Bonyen". It is a Thai originated name that is the name of a type of night blooming flower? Like our "morning glory". Is there someone out there that knows???

I can't find any reference to Bonyen in connection with flowers. I've found BonYen as a male Thai name (which doesn't necessarily mean that it doesn't get used as a feminine name too). Bonyen also appears to be an English-origin surname which is used as a first or middle name in some cases (there's a male athlete in Hawaii named Bonyen Thomas, apparently).

Do you know what the meaning of the male version Bon Yen means? Maybe like in Korean, the guys and girls can use the same names, as in Song or Sun. I'm in Hawaii also, but I didn't know about Bonyen Thomas. Could you fill me in?

I found Bonyen Thomas just by doing a Google search (www.google.com) for "bonyen". I didn't save any of the links but you should be able to repeat the search :-)

I don't know what BonYen means in Thai - Yen is "peace" in Vietnamese but I don't know much about Asian languages so I've no idea if they could be related.
