When the first "Starbuck" appears, I'll know humanity is doomed.
We're safe for awhile -- unless there were less than 5 Starbucks born last year. My stats only go down to 5 occurences for a name.

Thanks for the reassurance, Nanaea!
You *gotta* send me your super-duper 2000 list :)
Do you really have the complete list of names given to babies in 2000? OMG, I'd so love to have this! I only have the Top 1000, and you'd make me one of the happiest persons in the world if you could tell me where you can get that list, or if you could mail it to me!
Thanks a lot,
Sandra

Super Duper list
I have compiled a "super-duper" list of all names listed in various sites in the Net, including high caliber sites such as BtN and onscure cyber-underbelly sites such as the Kabalarians. It covers several thousands of names, and Nan and I have based the creation of our anagam mane list (http://www.behindthename.com/anagram.html)a couple of months ago. Lemme know if this is what you need :)

Sorry, Sandra.
You've got to work in a library for info like that. The list doesn't exist on the 'net and is not capable of being e-mailed.

Sandra & Pavlos, try this...
Apparently, Parenthood.com once put up the complete SSA population sampling list for 1997 on their website, but the SSA probably asked them to take it down. You can still access the list, however, via Google's cache. Here are the URL's for the complete list of boys' and girls' names taken from the SSA population sampling for 1997 (the number in parentheses indicates the number of children given that particular name in the SSA population sampling):
