Please explain further
"Syd " and "ney" are unknown words to me, when it comes to latin, but it may be ignorance. What roots are they derived from?
"Dea" means goddess in latin, but how does "Syd " mean goddess?I am confused. Could you please explain further?-Selwyn

I'm not sure Selwyn but I think Raylonda was making a joke. I'm just too dense to get it, I guess. I'm sure she doesn't really think that Sydney is Latin

By "goddess of fun and wild parties" she is probably referring to the god Dionysos. Sydney / Sidney were originally surnames derived from a French place name meaning Saint Denis . Denis is derived from Dionysios , which is in turn derived from the name of the god. A twisted path, but Sydney and Dionysos are distantly related.

It takes a really complex mind and deep knowledge of names to come up with something like that. Now I am convinced that Mike definitely knows of what he speaks.
