Almost. It's pronounced FREE-tha, with "th" as in that.People are just people.

It could be different in Sweden, but in Danish it's pronounced as FREE-dah, so it could be done both ways. And that is the tricky thing, when having to pronounce Nordic and/or Scandinavian names in the respective tongues, whether it's Swedish, Norwegian, Danish...

The question was how Fríða (Icelandic form) was pronounced, not Frida (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish). So Caprice is right: The pronunciation is FREE-tha.

Okie Doke. I'll keep those differences in mind.Thank you for setting that straight on this matter, since you of course have more knowledge, in how the difference in pronouncing the Nordic and Scandinavian names than I have.
