I knew a girl in college called Glencora. Her mother got the name from "The Pallisers" the T.V. adaption of the Trollope novels.
AFAIK Trollope coined the name himself. He frequently used names which were metaphorical - for example a good but boring man is John Grey. Glencora's stuffy,proud husband is Plantagenat. Sorry can't give you information.
