Maelon is a character in the Welsh legend of St Dwynwen:

'mael' is apparently from a proto-Celtic word meaning prince - see Mael.
I'd pronounce it more or less like MY-lon. It's not in use in Wales. I could find only one use of it as a name in the birth records, in 1902.
