Re: I want to know the meaning of my name

Please provide details of culture, gender, language, spelling in original script, etc. when asking name meanings. In this case, I am guessing you are a Bengali male and spell it as অভ্রদিত in Bengali script.
To my knowledge, this name does not occur in the Sanskrit literature, but was reconstructed as the male version of the Sanskrit equivalent of the presumed Indoeuropean origin of the Greek Aphrodite. The abhra part is proper Sanskrit: its origin is ultimately the Indoeuropean nbh-ro- (possibly related nebh-os) which meant thundercloud or something similar. abhra is seen already in the Rgveda with this meaning (parsed by ancient grammarians as ab- water + bhra carrying), but later picked up the meanings of sky, mica, gold, cane, a kind of grass, etc. The dita part is then related either to the root div/dyut/jyut or dI/dIp, to be bright or to shine; or dI/dIU/dIv to fly or play; or else to dA to give. Aphrodite or the reconstructed abhradIti was then supposed to be a celestial nymph/water spirit flying/playing/shining in the clouds or being delivered by the clouds.
Avradita, I guess, is a variant transcription of the same.
