Mattea would simply be a feminine form of Matteo. However, it is evidently quite rare as a female given name in Italy. It is also, however, an Italian surname based on Matteo. In that role it is well-known in the USA through the country singer Kathy Mattea, and she seems to have inspired a lot of the girls given Mattea as a first name.
