Re: My first Name
I'd suggest Christopher 'Christ' + 'bearer' originally to commemorate those who bore Christ down from the cross or those who helped him carry the cross, however briefly. It would give the closest match in meaning with your name from widely recognised and used names in English. If you were looking for an exact match well, that'll be a moot point because they'll be from one of the many languages English draws from and at least as unusual as your name with even less connection to you and your personal history.Crostabur (Old Irish)Cruxdoron (Latin)Rodgiefan (Old English)See what I mean?Christopher is one that most people will know and will recognise as having to do with Jesus and the cross and bearing it. Just as in English we say someone 'came *bearing* gifts' or '*gave* gifts' you can use the one to imply the other.HTH!Devon
