If your mother had just heard the name but never seen it, she could have remembered the Spanish name Catalina, dropped the Ca- and used a spelling that made sense to her: Taleena instead of Talina.
I'm quite sure that one little name is unlikely to have been combined from names in Russian, Hebrew, German, Choctaw and Welsh. Armenian is pretty unlikely too. If it just popped into her head, then she most likely heard something, some time, very like the whole name, not just bits of it. And maybe forgot that she had, until the joy of meeting her own little girl made her memory work.
