Galbina means 'light colored' or 'milky' from the word galbanum which is a resin obtained from certain plants. (Most resins have a milky appearance when they are still fresh sap.) It is a word found in many scientific names of plants and animals to describe a light color, such as Agapema galbina (a moth found in Texas). Galbina also can mean a 'light colored robe'. Check out the following link and its link to Appendix II for the full etymology.
