There is a Japanese author called Banana Yoshimoto, but it's just a pseudonym; I can't remember her real name, but it's not Banana. :)

Otherwise, Banana's not used as a name in Japan.
Basho, means banana-tree, and is the name of a famous 17thc. Japanese poet (I think it's also a pseud., though).
Chiquita is not a first name, it's a diminutive for chica= child in Spanish
