The first intelligent life to examine our planet deduced that as carbon is the single element neccessary for all life in any form on this planet, that naturally, carbon having 6 protons, 6 neutrons, and 6 electrons. That life on earth "The Beast" has a number of 666.
It is simple science for us, and was for them. It is not a number of end times prophesy, rather a simple scientific label to document the key elements defining the nature of life on this, an interesting little planet, with potential, but not for a while.
