JONAH and JEMIMAThe Hebrew word for "dove", both biblical and modern, is yona, JONAH as a name.
As far as I can see there is no Hebrew word yemima. The biblical name JEMIMAH usually is translated as "dove", but it looks like this is taken from an Arabic parallel: "yamamatun".This last bit is taken from:
