In France, Nadil is used among people from Muslim/North African origin:

Perhaps Nadil is an Arabic name basically used, as first name, in North Africa areas (Morocco, Algeria), which are also not English speaking but French speaking areas, and the sources that you are using are in English.

That certainly is a good possibility. The books written on Arabic or Muslim names in English do tend to concentrate on names used in countries such as Pakistan, Iran, Palestine, and Egypt, and probably wouldn't have much to say about names which are mostly used in the former French colonies of North Africa. :)
