According to the following site, "amani" is the Swahili word for "peace".

This does NOT necessarily mean that Amani is used as a name in East Africa. Quite a few Swahili words have been turned into names by African-Americans, but are not used as names by native Swahili speakers.

I don't mind if it isn't used as a name but I love the sound and I love that it means peace :)
