Re: The name Edd
What kind of information do you want? It's probably just an unusual respelling of Ed.

I live on the east coast and have seen quite a number of people with the name Edd. I was told that it is old English and was from the word Edward. I have seen the name Ed defined but never Edd.

Well, what you were told is correct. Edd is just a spelling variation of Ed, and Ed is most often a pet form of Edward, though it can be from Edgar, Edmund, Edwin, or any other name starting with Ed. And the "Ed-" syllable in all of those names goes back to an Old English word that meant "prosperity" or "rich".
