Well the misspelling of Kazumi as
Kasumi by
Caprice is what lead me to try find out more and so actually answer the posters question.
It is not surpising that 'mi' meaning beaty is in the most popular kanji combination for Kazumi. It's so popular for many girls names.
Romanization never seems to be consistent. For example I saw a boy I know called Ryousuke had his name written Ryosuke and Ryoske in the past few weeks. Even in my post I accidentally spelt Kazumi as
Kasumi!
