Re: pronunciation

Hmmm this is strange, I'm just curious did your mom want you to be called Nathalie saying the h or did everyone else just say the h. Because I say it doesn't really matter about the spelling rather how you want to say it. Maybe your mother just liked the name Nathalie saying the h more than saying it without the h. But my name is Marisa which can be said the spanish way which is like saying Marice with an ah at the end or the italian way which is like saying Maris wiith an ah at the end. My mom wanted it to be said the spanish way but I always said it the italian way even if the spelling is more spanish. In Italian my name is more commonly spelled Marissa. So really you can say your Nathalie with the h or without it, it doesn't matter how it's suppost to really be just how you want to say it. I've personally always liked confusing people as much as I can and never have liked saying my name how it is most commonly said. Plus I just like the italian way of saying my name more than the spanish way. But darn those crazy canadians they always see the spelling of my name and say it the italian way so I never get to confuse them. Oh well. ^_^

Thankyou for responding to my "name". My family pronounced the H because the name was thought to be said like that. It is an uncomforable name to say for me, and others. I didnt like it. I spell it correctly now, and love my name now. Didnt before. I got irritated with my dad cause that is how he said my name. Afer the research I realized it said without pronouncing that darn H. Any way, this site is so cool. I love names, and anagrams. Matching up names and days are cool too. Marisa, that is so pretty. Who were you names after? Are you Italian or Spanish? Names have so much emotion and history behind it. Great site, love Nathalie
