It is an Indian name that means "precious" according to the naming books. My Niece is named Tehya and she is a beautiful, smart, funny baby.

Thinking about calling our baby Tehya but want to get it right!

Hi,
My daughters name is Tehya. When she was born I spelt it Tea (with an accent mark over the e) but changed the spelling because everyone messed up her name calling her tea (the drink) and Tia. I got the name from Tea Leoni (the actress) and found this new spelling from someone i met at the airport when she was calling her daughter. This new spelling im not having any problems with anyone getting her name right.
