Is this an Arabic surname? Al Bukhari perhaps. 'al' means "the". I can't find an exact meaning for the name Bukhari - although I can find evidence of the name being split into Buk-hari. Hari may mean 'God' and Buk may be derived from the Egyptian word 'buq, buk' meaning "mouth" so possibly - "the mouth of God".
