Yes, Geneva is unfortunately one of those names with disputed meanings behind it, however this is the information that I could gather on it. Don't know if it will help or not but here you go.
GENEVA
It is a girl's name used primarily in the English language. The source of the name Geneva comes from an ancient Germanic expression meaning "River's mouth." Geneva is also a Swiss City that is located at the mouth of a river. As you know, there are disputed meanings and some believe it to be derived from Genevieve or Jennifer. Others believe it has a French source and means "Juniper Berry."
I do not think that you are ever going to have a clear and single meaning for this name. It's one of those names that we will always be unsure about.

hello i was searching for my middle name's meaning. thanks this helped alot. i dont really like the name but im stuck with it. thanks bunches. by the way if someone has the same full name as me email me because like nobody has my name.
