Re: vezelea

A 'net search on your name didn't reveal anything, nor did consulting a book on Hispanic names I have: *Los Nombres del Bebe*.
I'm wondering if whether, throughout the many generations that this name has been passed down in your family, it may have been spelled differently at some time in the past?
If there had been a Greek or Russian ancestor somewhere in your family tree who had found himself or herself in Spain, then I wonder if "Vezelea" might possibly have been "Vasilia" at sometime in the past? This would have made it the feminine form of the name "Vasilios" -- or "Basil" -- which means: "king". Of course, "Vezelea" then would mean "queen".
Eh, it's just a theory, but a likely one, I suspect.

Very likely :)))
Bebe Rebozo?
what does that mean????????
Sorry, I'm showing my age. Bebe Rebozo was a non-government crony of Richard Nixon, with somewhat shady connections and dealings, sorta like Bill Clinton's Web Hubble.
The first name just sparked my memory.
