i was looking for the origins of my name and came across this...
everyone loves my name...I love it too...it's unique
my friends usually call me gitta and i've been known as Brigit (Bridget) as well....I don't like it...I like Brigitta.
I also get a lot of references to the Brigitta in The Sound of Music.
