You're not alone. If you'll enter "Gariele" into the www.google.com search engine, you'll find quite a few females in Germany, Italy, and even The Netherlands with your name.
Unfortunately, I couldn't identify the original nationality or meaning, despite going onto German and Italian name sites. If you look through "Google" and find an e-mail address for one of your naemsakes, I'd try contacting her directly with your question. Good luck!
