Mike firstly has to the name you've submitted to be credible and accurate--that the name is indeed used (because we generally don't do one-off names unless the single bearer is particularly notable, like Lucifer) and that etymology is correct (for we don't do nonsense, inaccurate meanings such as "smelly hair" for Brendan).
If the name passes the grade, then the name will be added in the next update. However, you must be patient in waiting for your name to be added. Checking facts takes time, and Mike does have a life outside this site. Therefore, it can take up to a year or more for your name to be added.
But, rest assured, if the name fits the site's criteria for acceptance, it will be added eventually.
