Katwijk is indeed a city, NOT a first name. It might be listed as a last name in our country, but if it is, it's very very rare. (it would most likely be "Van Katwijk" if it's a surname, because Van refers to "of") Kat means simply Cat, and Wijk means "district" or "quarter" (as in a district in a city). So basically, Katwijk means Cat-district. Pronounciation = Kaht-wike
