Yo, Nan...

I can't seem to find the thing at m-w (Merriam-Webster). Which manual are you referring to?
P.S. I think sometimes our society is a little weird, because we have to tell them to read manuals... :)
(You can peek at my ip, I'm not telliffier :) )

Yo-ho, Jonathan.
"RTFM" on this board (at least, the polite version) means: "Read The First Message". It refers to the first message one sees on one's screen after one clicks the "Post a Message" link, and says: "IMPORTANT: If you are posting a question about the origin of a name please include as much information as possible. Most important are the gender and ethnic background."
Oh, and anyone could tell that you're not Telliffier. Besides the fact that you're posting from Canada (Ontario, it looks like), you also seem quite a bit brighter. :)
