OK before joining the Navratilova fan club, why not announce to the world that your name is derived *not* from Charles but from "Carol" (the musical type)? You have the right to decide what kind of Caroline you wanna be :)
According to my trusty OED, etymologists trace this type of Carol to the Greek word "chorus" (same as modern meaning)or to the Latin "corolla" (meaning "little crown, coronet, garland"). (Personally, I'd rather push my Harley than ride a riceburner).
Again you have the lusury of choice :)
