Re: WDYTO Julie?

I like Julie. I've met a lot of good Julies with varied personalities, too. However... Of course, I have to disaggree with you on Juliet :) Seriously, how does a name that I've never actually met one of, not high on the popularity charts, and that has the Romeo and Juliet Shakespeare connection come off as yuppie?
Cornelia Julie / Julie Cornelia -Julie Cornelia Flows better, even though I prefer Cornelie. I like it.
Julie Hanorah / Hanorah Julie -Nice.

Julie Ingeborg -How do you pronounce it?
Pretty much as it looks--ING-guh-borg. Which is a sound most Americans find quite ugly, I'm sure, but I think it's quite nice. :D It was one of my great-grandmother's names, and she was named for her great-grandmother (I think--can't remember how far back the first Ingeborg was), who was one of the first to come over to America from Norway.
As for the rest, there's definitely something. Julie sounds so retro-fifties to me that it sounds awesome with most all of those! I especially like:
Julie Theodosia
Julie Angeline
Julie Fleur
Julie Tamar
Julie Jane
Julie Zita
Julie Magdalena
Julie Starlight -- So snappy!
Julie Violetta
Julie Sonnet
Julie Zelda
Julie Maria
Julie Nightingale -- Also so snappy!
Julie Maude
Julie Willa
Julie Clarissa
Julie Sunshine -- Again!
Julie Magnolia
Julie Delight -- And again!
Julie Olive

My brother made such a point yesterday about how unique the name was. Went on and on about it...until I pointed out it was 192 on the SS list. :-D
You're right, though.
