I love it!
I just get ecstatic when I see names like Ashley on a boy or that someone likes those names! I think as long as he understands the origins of his name, he should at least survive and probably even thrive with his name, even when in school. And I think Ashley James is a great combo (as you said, do use an all-male middle name to avoid complete gender confusion)!I edited to add this, but one of my friends has talked about a boy named Ashley that she knows, and she says that he is so sweet!
