And all were named Marie!
Wonder if it was a family name or if it honored Virgin Mary.I think the names Annette, Cécile, Emilie, Marie and Yvonne are good French names. They go together well but are not cutesie. I also like Lillianne, Jeanne, Reina and Alma. Emilda and Edouilda are totally new to me.- She said he made a racial slur!
- Racial? She is Swedish!
- Maybe he called her Meatball."I’ve given it a lot of thought, and I’ve decided to be spontaneous."

Yes, it is in honour........of the Virgin Mary, that was very common at the time. Also, many, or most, men had Joseph somewhere in their name.

My dad (who grew up in a very Catholic part of Glasgow in the 60s) had neighbours with 5 kids. They all had the middle name Mary, including the boys :-)_____________________________________________________________________Elinor
