I say Bry-er. I know 2 little boys w/this name. One is in 4th grade, and the other is a newborn. A girl I just graduated with had her baby last week and named him James Briar. Her name is Erika Marie, the dad is James Bradley nn Brad. I think Briar is a cute name for a girl as well, and I like the combo you have.

I don't like Briar. It reminds me of "Briard" (prn. briar), meaning "inhabitant of the Brie". Sorry lol

I think Briar would be very nice if it didn't mean a thorny, not-too-attractive bush to me. Briars are something to stay away from. Unfortunately that just destroys for me what would otherwise be a lovely name.

It's pronounced BRY-er, the first syllable rhyming with "dry". I love the name but prefer the spelling Brier. Briar Lily is nice enough, but I don't generally like two vocabulary names together.

I think it's a very nice name. I prn it Bry-ar. Briar Lily reminds me too much of Briar Rose, the sleeping beauty story. Still, it's lovely.

I pronounce it as BRY-er, so BRY rhymes with the word DRY. Briar Lily looks a bit odd to me, as I'm used to seeing Briar Rose. I think that Briar (since it's a word name) needs a mn that is more classic and not a word name. How about:
