Or don't already know the meanings?
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!

Sometimes people vote for the name without knowing it's meaning.
you have no way to know ...
Whether someone knows the meaning or not.
Don't assume that.
Don't assume that knowing the meaning would necessarily make them vote different.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that my post would upset you.
it hasn't ...
Other people's calling you on the illogicalness of your request/demand and implied criticism has upset you.

I'm not demanding people. Amphelise called me a bigot.
No, I said you were using a tactic that is used by bigots, as in that is why you shouldn’t use it.
I am also autistic.
I am also autistic.
I should mention that I have autism.
Hey there
I understand your frustration, I truly do. If it were me, I would have thought I was upsetting people, too. But, regardless of what was directly stated or otherwise implied, Amphelise pointed out that this is not the case. Your original apology is accepted, but it doesn't really help to double down. It wouldn't hurt to take their word for it, right?

I love your user name first off, (Being sincere). Just adding from the outside looking in, at the comments, JDill apologized, more than once. When comments made like: (or offended, or triggered, or whatever), using the word "whatever" seems very dismissive. Using the word "bigot" seems pretty far fetched, especially for someone who is apologizing. No one has to accept an apology, it was offered. Now I'm seeing OP is autistic. Probably trying to point out some struggles with communication? Maybe let's consider that now, and use some acceptance and understanding, and human rights we speak about and apply them to the internet as well. Something this person clearly loves, may turn into a bad space for them over what he clearly stated was a mistake.
I'm terribly sorry, I don't know if my message was clear. I have a lot of sympathy for OP, as an autistic person myself. I don't want to turn this site into a bad place for everyone, and I agree that Amphelise's accusation was, if nothing else, inconsiderate, given the apologies.
JDill and Sealink2002 are both the OP, by the way.
Oh no worries! I understand, it's clear you're a genuine kind person. I sometimes also have trouble understanding, especially over the internet what's being conveyed. I think some of the comments made were not kind is all, and went too far. But I can see the empathy you are giving, and that is awesome
Hey, this thing where you dismiss anyone who disagrees with you as “upset” (or offended, or triggered, or whatever) is a derailment tactic frequently used by bigots to shut down rational conversation or challenges to their beliefs.
I would strongly encourage you to stop doing it.

He thought he upset people. Apologized. And you go into "tactics" used by bigots? 'K'.
I'm taking a break from behindthename. Because you have treated me horribly.
I'm sorry. Why are you being negative. It's just a mistake. I didn't even mean to get everyone riled up.
Fine, maybe I shouldn't do stuff on this website anymore.
Maybe I should quit.
