I like
Gemma, even though for me, it seems to have a little bit of the same sort of loud-older-gal vibe to it that
Ruby or
Evelyn or
Janet does (which makes me not like those names as much). It seems charmingly warm and pretty, but not elegant. Like
Daisy.
Gemma Rose makes me think "means rose bud," because a gemma is a bud in biology (but, I'm wrong of course, because it doesn't mean a flower "bud," it means a kind of vegetative structure).
Rose seems like a filler middle name next to
Gemma, but of course it is a nice name.
