WDYTO Eric?
This is my brother's name and he wants to know what people think of it.

Yes, I think of that too. Thanks for responding.
I like it - it has a strong, masculine appealing sound.
Thank you. I agree.
I like it. You don't hear it on younger people all that often, so that adds to it's appeal in my opinion.
Thank you. I agree.
:) It's my brother's name, also.
I've heard it over and over all my life, so it's hard to judge. I think I neither like it, nor dislike it, but like it more than I dislike it. lol

Yeah, I know what you mean!

It's my brother's name too and I adore it :-) I think it's strong, handsome, and intelligent. Then again, I'm a little biased since my brother and I are very close.

Yes, I know what you mean about being a little biased. I am a little too :-)

You can tell him
that I, for one, really like it a whole lot. :D

He says, "Thank you and that is very encouraging!" :-)
I hope you won't think this is silly
but I would like to thank you for thanking everyone. Seriously! So often a guest poster pops in and asks a question, and gets X number of answers, possibly even questions in response, and then we never hear from that person again; no feedback, no answers to our questions, nothing. It's wearisome and annoying. So nice, so refreshing of you to thank us! I don't recognize your posting name or know how often you post here, but please stop in any time. :)

I've actually been a lurker for quite some time and plan on registering. Thank you for the encouragement!
Thank you
That is understandable.
That is understandable.
I've always really loved Eric-I picture a handsome, cool guy. Probably because the few Erics I've known have been just that! I think it's a great name.
Thanks

used to like it but I think it's kinda boring now.
Thank you for being honest in your opinion. It is quite popular, unfortunately.
Fine masculine name. Also, quite versatile (fits various personalities/ages)
Thank you. I agree.
My brother liked the meaning as well. Thanks for your comments!
It's ok, it's pretty common where I live (mostly spelled Erik though). I wouldn't name my child it, I like more unusual names
Yeah, it is quite popular. But thanks for commenting!
I've always loved it. It is classic, but not overly used. The "ehr" sound at the beginning is appealing to me -- very light and, well, airy.
Thank you.
Thanks for commenting
I love the name Eric. It just seems like a strong, handsome name. It's not terribly common, but it's not too out there either. I definitely plan on using it some day.
I agree. Thanks for your kind comments.
