Midas
I was interviewed by a man named Midas this week, I've only every heard the name in reference to the Greek myth but apparently its been gaining popularity in the Netherlands. His surname could indicate he's Dutch. What do you think of the name Midas? Have you ever encountered one? Would you use it?

I love it, not brave enough to use it but it is a very powerful and traditionally masculine vibe.

I like this name for the mythological/tragic reference, unfortunately where I am from it is also the name of a car repair/servicing chain! They even have a catchy jingle about "the Midas touch". Well, I like that clumsy dichotomy of mythology and garages, but unfortunately it makes the name pretty unusable around here! At least for a person. I've never met a Midas, but I have met a Prometheus.
