Events that change your view on names
Have you experienced a single event that turned your impression of name(s) upside down? And what is the name?
For me it's Vladimira. Before it was one of my favourite Slavic names, but now, needless to say, it's your fault Putin.

Clancy, Julia, Breanna, Lucas, and Zachary or Zac. All these people I have bad memories associated with except Lucas, he was just weird and not someone I would want to associate the name with.
I actually know a nice Julia know, so I *might* use it, it is a good name imo.

I’m with you about Vladimir. It used to be one of my favorite Russian/Slavic boys names but I don’t think I’d use it now because of Putin. I don’t think the association will ruin the name in the long run though. Parents still use Josef despite Stalin.
I can’t stand the names Cynthia and Melissa because of a couple of mean girls in middle school. The names just give off snooty mean vibes and I would never name a child either one.

Benjamin used to be one of my favorites, but someone who harassed me has the name. I don't hate the name, but I can never use it now because of him.
I might or might not have mentioned this before, but I once knew a guy named Patrick who completely ruined that name for me. He was just awful.
