Re: Rebecca
It's one of the "classics" I used to dismiss but have come to appreciate recently. The sound is lovely; however, going by the full name all the time would become very pretentious, very quickly, so a nickname is inevitable. And of those, the only one I like of the "established" nicknames is Becca - Becky is decent but bogged down in memes, and Reba is just terrible (McEntire not withstanding).I think Bex might be a cool, unconventional nickname, though. Or Rebel!***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381

Most Rebeccas I've known have gone by the whole name. It doesn't sound pretentious to me in the least. Rebecca is totally down to earth to me. I love it. I hate Becky and dislike Becca. Reba should be retired permanently. Yuck.
