What is this booze of which people are speaking? I've never heard of it.

A shandy is beer, I think usually lager, and lemonade or a different kind of juice. Leinenkugels makes a good one. My personal favorite was 3 years ago they had a limited edition cranberry ginger one at Christmas.

Oh so that's why nothing came up when I Googled "Shandi" ending in an I.Although I know that you're an American and know what shandy is, I don't see the association being a problem in the US. I don't think the majority of Americans have heard of it.

I feel like I've seen it before, but I didn't connect it with alcohol immediately, and I couldn't have told you what the drink was if I had.

It is entirely possible. My family drinks a LOT of beer and goes in for variety.

It might be regional - it’s pretty classic in Rhode Island/Maine/Massachusetts I’ve found.
