Re: Edwina
I can't remember a character from The Lion King named Edwina, but it's been years since I watched it.It's an adorable name for a pug, BTW. :) **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

There isn't, but there is a character in Chicken Run called Edwina. This is the only pop culture (animated or otherwise) Edwina I can think of. She was the chicken who was taken to the cop at the beginning. My personal thoughts on the name is that it has a comedic sound to it, like Ethel and Betty. The comedic sound can stem from the fat that it's a pretty dated name, but also maybe the weird "ween" sound. Words that "sound comedic" are often always the ones that makes your mouth form a smile when saying it, so the comedy is rather inherent with the name.

I agree. I would never use it in real life, but I kind of like it. It definitely has personality.

I also agree with that. I like names with personality, even if I'd never consider them for my children's names, they're still great options for fiction.
