Millie and Minnie
What do you think of the names Millie and Minnie for twin girls? Please suggest full first names if you think the nicknames go well together. Middle names will be (Millie) Emory Louise and (Minnie) Brooklyn Colette.
The combo I am considering at the moment is Millicent Emory Louise and Minerva Brooklyn Colette. Opinions?

Thumbs up for bringing up Millicent, such a pretty and underused name. I'd be happy seeing someone actually use it. It has the same vibe as Amelia (at least for me) but isn't that awfully popular. I like Minerva, too. Hermione is a nice suggestion. Maybe Hermine could also work? Hermine is not as commonly associated with fictional characters. I'd also add Wilhelmina, Romina, Melinda (dated?) or Jasmine (not a personal favorite, but works well).
The combos are lovely. Recognizable but not overused middle names. Only nicer if they're honoring. I like Brooklyn personally, but if you or someone feels it doesn't fit with the other names, then probably (Minerva) Colette Brook could also work.

I don't care if they do have full names, Millie and Minnie sound like a pair of cocker spaniels. And naming somebody Minerva is just mean.
I do see where you are coming from. Do you have any other unique M name suggestions to go with the middle names?
Marcella and Melinda
Monique and Mercedes
Marlena and Mahalia
BTW: the word "unique" does not apply very well on this board. It's almost meaningless in terms of names unless you make a name up out of thin air, and even then chances are good somebody somewhere has already used it, or it means something in another language, or something.
