I can see why it'd appeal to some people; at its best, I think it has a literary lumberjack, wholesome troublemaker type vibe. But to me, it's just another antiquated occupational name (like Cooper, Thatcher, Archer, Carter, Taylor, Harper, etc)...not awful, but they come across as vapid to me...Sawyer also makes me think of sawdust. Which isn't bad really? It's a crafty, outdoorsy association. I'd like Forrester more, though.
