Creamed rice! Custard! I honestly don't think it's usable this side of the pond

I have never seen that canned rice pudding and I almost said that it isn't available in the USA, but then realized that I don't know that for sure. It's surely not popular here. Anyway, the orange and marshmallow salad makes it just as unusable here as the rice pudding does in the UK, in my opinion. The lead singer of the now disbanded group Shivaree is named Ambrosia Parsley, and I was just listening to their one hit "Goodnight Moon", which is what put me in mind of the name. I halfway like it, but I do think that food associations ruin it.
When I worked at the Safeway deli, years ago, we sold ambrosia salad. It was popular, too, especially with older ladies. They loved it.

LOL, that makes me think of the fact that I wanted to serve pimiento cheese sandwiches at Ashley's baby shower, and had to be tipped off by my daughter that only old ladies like pimiento cheese.
